Crossfit Seminyak – Located in the heart of the bustling tourism hub, Crossfit Seminyak provides a sanctuary of wellness and well being when its time to give something back to our temple of self.

Showcasing ability and adaptability, Crossfit Seminyak is one of those “a bit out of the ordinary” projects that provide a nice challenge to the team at Mahallati Interiors.  Starting from scratch and working together with the owner to plan the layout in 3D – the position of the fundamentals such as the reception, the weight room, the toilets and so on was refined and refined until the best possible use of the premises was achieved.

Sparse and simple with a subtle industrial feel the layout is functional, attractive and all business. Teak features heavily, as it does with many Mahallati Interiors projects and in this instance is combined heavily with black painted steel to provide chic contrast between the black and the warm rich brown of the Indonesian plantation wood. An exclusively interior design project, the key here is to provide inviting functional comfort without detracting from the prime objective – work the body hard in order to help achieve piece of mind. Pieces specifically custom made for the project include the reception counter, stools, mirrors and cabinetry. Also, the tractor seat style stools and bar tables and collection of planters.

Mahallati Interior’s craftspeople constructed all the pieces with traditional joinery and woodworking techniques using kiln dried plantation wood. The finishing of the pieces extends from natural tones to dark stains – all with long lasting polyurethane coatings. To complete the project, the installation of the fittings, fixtures and loose furniture was carried out by the Mahallati Interiors site team after a complete and diligent inspection to make sure all the products were in line with the owner’s expectations.

An interior fit out of a gym is a fine balance of various elements including the proprietor’s vision and budget, available materials, and the physical premises. The primary concern is the clients themselves as they need to be able to achieve a high level of motivation within the building and be comfortable enough to eat and replenish and shower and cleanse after a fitness session – all under one roof. This challenge and fine balance has been met and exceeded in the execution of Crossfit Seminyak by Mahallati Interiors.
