Villa Lantana – The entire magical vista of Jimbaran bay all the way to Ngurah Rai airport is visible from this luxury villa positioned on the hill above. This prime position provided Mahallati Interiors with the opportunity to rise to the challenge of doing the location justice – welcome to Villa Lantana Jimbaran.

Owned by Australian Greg Meyer, Villa Lantana Jimbaran features 4 large bedrooms and extensive living and dining areas. Big bi-fold doors open out to the terraces, cabana and swimming pool. Sun loungers, sofas and daybeds are in abundance to provide a choice of areas in which to sit, lounge and relax. Distinguished designer and hotelier, George Gorrow is responsible for the interior designing and the technical drawings were produced by the Mahallati interior drafters. The feel of the property is one of sleek and modern Scandinavian, mixed with Bali contemporary. Mahallati Interiors has a strong family connection to Denmark, Scandinavia and the furniture history from that region. This means that this style comes naturally to the team.

The effect is classy minimalist furnishing and not of over clutter, with tastefully positioned accessories and artwork. Custom made furniture from Oak and Teak is placed throughout the villa. These items include the dining table in Oak with concrete legs and the custom chairs that go with it, contemporary coffee tables that are positioned alongside a profusion of modern style deep-seat timber sofas with suitably matched upholstery. Console tables in sleek Scan design, wall units & shelving units and built-ins in the bedrooms. All these pieces come together inside Villa Lantana.

It is arguable that the Scandinavians are among the world’s best furniture designers and it is refreshing to see that Scan influence enter the mix in a Balinese villa. Breaking the mould slightly from the tried and true island living style seen in many properties on the island Villa Lantana sets the bar high for others to try and follow. Chic and understated, the villa oozes class through its design and fit-out. After a stay at Villa Lantana you will truly know you have arrived.
