Villa Spectrum

Villa Spectrum – Looking like movie set, or something off Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous, Villa Spectrum is a visual work of art. A textbook example of what modern Villa living in Bali should display, it has the right feel and look.

Super clean lines and modern appointments are the mainstay of the design at Villa Spectrum. Use of large glass panes and large doorways breaks down the barriers between rooms, giving the sense of a big open living area. This feeling continues with the open entertaining areas with enough room for a party full of friends. Full length curtains seclude you when you need privacy. Artful accents and art pieces adorn almost every wall, corner, counter.

Mahallati Interior provided the full A to Z solution for the developers of this wonderful property in Umalas, Bali. The full architectural and interior/exterior design layout was rendered in 3D and developed, then refined again and again until the most pleasing placements were attained. No detail, down to the position of artworks and statement pieces was left unplanned.                  

More specifically, Teak is again a main material of choice and can be seen in the Scan influenced dining and indoor furniture in natural finish, and outdoors in the chaise sun-loungers, outdoor dining setting, occasional stools and Teak root pieces. Sunbrella upholstered sectional sofa with goatskin and natural fibre throw pillows provides loungeroom comfort.

Other materials used in the project include synthetic rattan for yet more seating, ceramics for artworks and accent pieces, Mahogany, Suar, steel, stone, aluminium and others. The Villa itself has 4 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms that include built-in walk-in cabinetry and other furniture pieces from the Mahallati Interiors design portfolio. But it is the small touches, of which there is a multitude here – the mirrors, the teak flooring, the artworks and paintings, the carvings, the vases, the candleholders, the rugs, the lighting, the plants and so much more. As well as the special one-off furniture pieces that pull this whole project together and really turn it into something special.

Villa Spectrum is close to the forefront of modern interior villa design. The materials and design choices are a showcase of contemporary interior design skills. The feeling that walking into this villa evokes must be what it feels like to step onto the A list.
